For almost a decade, NTT chairman, Stuart Wilkinson has been the chairman of the Mobile Heritage Advocacy Group (MHAG), which aims to bring together the rail, road, shipping and aircraft sectors, to seek common ground and lobby for the ongoing use of historic transport.
The Working Industrial Mobile Heritage group (WIMH) was established more recently to achieve the same aims across Europe.
It is chaired by FEDECRAIL President, Jaap Nieweg, members include The International Committee for the Conservation of Industrial Heritage (TICCIH) President, Dr Miles Oglethorpe and Tiddo Bresters, the Fédération International des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA) President and NTT trustee Keith Gibbins.
WIMH's first priority has been to address the continuing availability of fossil fuel for historic vehicles.
With the supply of coal being seen as particularly urgent.
