NTT Members and their friends might be interested in the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) promotion to get historic vehicles out on the roads on 'Drive it' and 'Ride it’ Day that is planned for the 23rd of April in support of the NSPCC's “Childline”.
The NTT support the FBHVC in their work to allow owners of historic vehicles to continue to exercise the freedom to use their vehicles when the will takes them, but this specific day allows the profile of the historic vehicle to be raised and of course provide more funds towards Childline.
To take part with your historic vehicle you should purchase a rally plate by visiting www.driveitday.co.uk and attach it to your vehicle. Note that there is a smaller plate for historic motorcycles.
You don’t have to wait until the 23rd of April to apply the plate to your vehicle but that date is set to show the public as many historic vehicles as possible being used with some special events being arranged for you to attend with your vehicle on that day.
